Principal Data Engineer - Healthcare

We are looking for a Principal Data Engineer to build and scale our healthcare data platform that powers clinical analytics, patient insights, and operational intelligence across the Apollo network. This role requires expertise in handling sensitive healthcare data with highest standards of security and compliance.

• Design and build scalable data infrastructure for healthcare data from 70+ hospitals and diagnostic centers
• Develop ETL pipelines to integrate data from HIS, LIS, RIS, EMR, and other clinical systems
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance frameworks meeting HIPAA and Indian healthcare regulations
• Build real-time data streaming solutions for patient monitoring and clinical decision support systems
• Collaborate with data science teams to enable AI/ML models for diagnostics and treatment recommendations
• Optimize data warehouses and lakes for analytical workloads supporting clinical and business intelligence

• 9+ years of experience in data engineering with at least 2 years in healthcare or regulated industries
• Expert-level knowledge of big data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Airflow) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Strong experience with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM) and medical terminologies
• Proven track record building HIPAA-compliant data systems with strong security and privacy controls
• Expertise in SQL, Python, and data modeling for analytical workloads
• Understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations is highly preferred
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
