Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Join our Security Operations team as a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to protect Paytm's infrastructure, applications, and customer data. You will be responsible for threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and implementing security controls across our fintech platform serving millions of users.

• Monitor security events, detect threats, and respond to security incidents affecting payment systems and infrastructure
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits of web and mobile applications
• Implement and manage security tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, and endpoint protection solutions
• Develop security automation scripts and integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
• Lead incident response activities, conduct forensic analysis, and prepare detailed security reports
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices and fix security vulnerabilities

• 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, application security, or security operations roles
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (OWASP, NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance requirements (PCI-DSS, RBI guidelines)
• Experience with security tools: SIEM, vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys), penetration testing tools
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for security automation
• Understanding of cloud security (AWS/GCP/Azure), container security, and API security
• Experience with threat intelligence, incident response, and security incident management
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CISSP, or CISM are highly preferred
