Plant Head - Automotive Manufacturing

We are seeking an accomplished Plant Head to lead our Pune automotive manufacturing facility producing 50,000+ vehicles annually with a team of 800+ employees. This critical role requires expertise in lean manufacturing, operational excellence, and strategic leadership to drive productivity, quality, and cost optimization.

• Lead end-to-end plant operations for automotive manufacturing facility with annual production of 50,000+ vehicles
• Drive operational excellence initiatives including lean manufacturing, 5S, TPM, and Six Sigma methodologies
• Ensure achievement of production targets, quality standards (PPM < 500), and safety metrics (zero accidents)
• Manage plant P&L, cost optimization, and productivity improvements targeting 15%+ efficiency gains
• Lead cross-functional teams across production, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and industrial engineering
• Drive automation, digitalization, and Industry 4.0 initiatives to enhance manufacturing competitiveness

• 12-18 years of experience in automotive manufacturing with at least 5 years in plant head or senior operations leadership roles
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Strong expertise in lean manufacturing, TPS, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Proven track record of managing large manufacturing facilities with 500+ employees and multi-shift operations
• Excellent leadership, people management, and change management capabilities
• Deep understanding of automotive manufacturing processes including stamping, welding, painting, and assembly
• Experience with ERP systems, MES, and digital manufacturing tools
