Principal Machine Learning Engineer - Computer Vision

Drive innovation in computer vision and deep learning to solve real-world problems in food quality detection, inventory management, and visual search. You'll build production-grade ML systems processing millions of images daily and lead research initiatives that directly impact customer experience. This role offers the opportunity to work on novel applications of AI in the quick commerce space.

• Design and deploy computer vision models for food quality assessment, freshness detection, and visual search capabilities
• Lead end-to-end ML lifecycle from research and experimentation to production deployment at scale
• Build robust ML pipelines handling millions of images daily with low latency and high accuracy requirements
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify AI/ML opportunities and translate them into technical solutions
• Mentor ML engineers and data scientists while establishing best practices for model development and deployment
• Stay current with latest research in computer vision, deep learning, and contribute to Swiggy's ML innovation roadmap

• 8+ years of experience in machine learning with at least 4 years focused on computer vision applications
• Strong expertise in deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and computer vision libraries (OpenCV, PIL)
• Proven track record of deploying production ML models at scale with experience in model optimization and serving
• Deep understanding of CNN architectures, object detection, image segmentation, and visual recognition techniques
• Proficiency in Python and experience with MLOps tools, model monitoring, and A/B testing frameworks
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization technologies for ML deployment
• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or related field preferred; strong publication record is a plus
