Principal Software Engineer - Learning Platform

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to architect and build our next-generation adaptive learning platform that personalizes education at scale. This role involves designing intelligent systems that adapt to individual learning styles, track student progress, and deliver customized content to millions of learners globally.

• Architect and develop scalable microservices-based learning platform handling 10M+ concurrent users
• Design adaptive learning algorithms that personalize content delivery based on student performance and behavior patterns
• Build real-time analytics and recommendation engines to optimize learning paths and student engagement
• Lead technical initiatives across backend systems, APIs, data pipelines, and infrastructure optimization
• Mentor senior engineers and conduct architecture reviews ensuring system scalability, reliability, and performance
• Collaborate with product, content, and data science teams to translate educational outcomes into technical solutions

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
• 9+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in distributed systems and backend architecture
• Strong proficiency in Java/Python, Spring Boot, Node.js, PostgreSQL/MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, and AWS/GCP
• Experience building recommendation systems, personalization engines, or adaptive algorithms
• Proven track record of architecting and scaling consumer-facing platforms to millions of users
• Deep understanding of system design, microservices patterns, API design, and performance optimization
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to drive technical decisions in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
