Project Engineer

We are seeking a Project Engineer to oversee civil engineering activities for our metro rail construction project in Chennai. This role involves managing on-site execution, coordinating with contractors and consultants, and ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of infrastructure projects and hands-on site experience.

• Supervise day-to-day civil engineering activities for metro rail viaduct and station construction
• Ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives for seamless execution
• Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to meet deadlines
• Conduct site inspections, prepare progress reports, and maintain documentation for audits and reviews
• Resolve technical issues, RFIs, and design clarifications in coordination with the design team

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
• 7+ years of experience in civil engineering roles with exposure to large infrastructure projects (metro, highways, bridges)
• Strong knowledge of RCC structures, foundation works, formwork, and construction methodologies
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications
• Familiarity with project management tools, quality standards (ISO), and safety regulations
• Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills
• Willingness to work on-site with extended hours as per project requirements
