Senior Cybersecurity Engineer - Application Security

We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer specializing in Application Security to strengthen our security posture across enterprise applications. This remote role offers the opportunity to work with global clients on critical security initiatives protecting sensitive data and infrastructure.

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability analysis of web and mobile applications
• Design and implement secure coding practices, security architecture reviews, and threat modeling exercises
• Lead remediation efforts for identified vulnerabilities and work with development teams on secure SDLC integration
• Deploy and manage application security tools including SAST, DAST, SCA, and WAF solutions
• Develop security automation scripts and integrate security testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Provide security training and awareness programs for development and operations teams

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity with focus on application security and penetration testing
• Strong expertise in OWASP Top 10, secure coding practices, and common vulnerabilities (SQLi, XSS, CSRF, etc.)
• Proficiency with security tools like Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Nessus, Metasploit, and Fortify
• Experience with at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET)
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CISSP, or GWAPT highly preferred
• Knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container security (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
