Senior Machine Learning Engineer - NLP

We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer specializing in NLP to build conversational AI systems for our customer support and in-vehicle voice assistant platforms. This role involves developing state-of-the-art language models, speech recognition systems, and intelligent chatbots serving millions of Ola Electric customers.

• Design and develop NLP models for multilingual conversational AI supporting 10+ Indian languages
• Build and optimize speech-to-text and text-to-speech systems for in-vehicle voice assistants
• Implement sentiment analysis, intent classification, and entity extraction models for customer support automation
• Train and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) for domain-specific applications in automotive and mobility
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate ML models into production systems with low latency
• Monitor model performance, conduct A/B testing, and continuously improve accuracy and user experience

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field with focus on Natural Language Processing
• 7+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying NLP/NLU systems in production environments
• Strong expertise in transformer models, BERT, GPT, and modern language model architectures
• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, Hugging Face, and NLP libraries like spaCy and NLTK
• Experience with speech recognition technologies (ASR/TTS), audio processing, and voice interface design
• Proven track record of working with multilingual models and low-resource languages
• Strong understanding of MLOps, model deployment, and scaling ML systems for high-traffic applications
